Dearest Brothers and Sisters in
time and in space,
Have you ever been the first to
do something? If so, you know all the questions you might ask yourself. Am I
doing the right thing? Should I do this? Why has this not been written before?
Am I wrong? And so on. This is exactly how I felt when I made the decision to
write this book.
I wondered
and wondered? Can this really be the first time in history we know what a
rational soul looks like? Should I share this? What will people say? These and
similar questions stomped across my mind. I know this event took place, I could
not consider denying it. Further, I have never refused God anything They[1]
asked of me, as you will see when reading through this book. Since God allowed
this experience to take place, this event should be shared with all his
children.
So these
were my choices, forget about the whole thing, (it must have been my
imagination or a dream) or, it really did happen. Though this event took place
many years ago, it has remained steadfast in my mind in each and every detail.
Why write about this now? God chooses his own time and this seems to be it.
Moreover, it takes awhile to fully grasp an event like this and to understand
what happened.
I firmly
believe this experience was a grace our heavenly Father accorded me. I do not
know why, but I do know from past experiences, that whatever he asked of me I
did, and this may be his way of “coming back for more.” He knows I have never
refused Him and (despite my deficiencies) I always did my very best to realize
his will.
So,
heavenly Father and dearest reader, may this sharing with you, bring you
knowledge and peace and love for our God, now and forever and ever. Amen.
Now,
where to begin?
One day, I had an experience wherein I saw my
soul. Though no one has ever written about seeing his or her own soul, and if I
am the first to have my soul shown to me, so be it. If our dear Lord has chosen
this to be, as always I happily and obediently embrace the task he has confided
to me.
It is with joy that I share this amazing
experience with you; you may be assured you do indeed have a soul and life eternal. In this knowledge you will be energized and
strengthened in growing and blossoming as God’s Child. By the time you finish
reading this book, there should be no doubt in your mind that your soul is you,
and that you, as a person, are really and truly eternal.
Friends, before I share with you the experience wherein I
saw my soul, its parts and the interaction between soul and flesh, you should
take a few minutes to consider, “What is a soul?”
Do
you have a soul?
What
do you think a soul is?
What
do you think your soul looks like?
There can be a lot of confusion when we try to define the word “soul.”
When
life leaves your body, your head, your arms, your torso and your legs all go
into the ground, so what is left of “you?”
Without
a head, or arms, or torso or legs, how can we possibly exist? What in the world
can we possibly look like?
Some
say, we are composed of a body, a mind, a spirit and a soul.
Some
say we are heart and soul.
Now
at this time in history (for reasons I do not know) I have seen my soul. As I
have always been faithful to our loving Father whenever he has confided a task
to me, I will share this revelation with you his Children and my dear brothers
and sisters in the Kingdom of God.[2]
How else are we to know about such things except by God’s love in revelation?
Let us begin this once in a lifetime journey, a journey into eternity no less.
Two great philosophers will accompany us, Saint
Aurelius Augustine and Saint Thomas Aquinas. A few others will join us en
route. I will be referring to our fellow travelers as ‘Brother’ or ‘Sister,’
which in God’s family we all are. There will be references to the Internet,
where you may delve deeper into their lives and achievements.
Quotes shown in quotation marks
(“ ”) quote items directly from our guest’s writings. Quotes
enclosed within hyphens (- -) are words that I have attributed
to our guests for the purpose of simulating conversation with them. My efforts
will focus on our soul, our Spirit, its composition, its interconnectivity to
the body and our eternal life. [3]
Have a great
read.
God bless you,
Deacon Raymond,[4]
[1] “They”
meaning, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In this book, whenever the word “God” is
used followed by the word “They,” the word “They” shall have the same meaning
and intent, i.e. identifying God as, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
[2] Science can
make discoveries in the material world, but revelation is what God gives us to
see things in his invisible world.
